APG-GA celebrates record “World Program” earnings and new technology at their 18th AGM at IATA Headquarters in Geneva

A record 71 delegates from 65 offices worldwide attended the APG Global Associates (APG-GA) 18^th AGM held at the IATA head office in Geneva on 8-10 March. Also in attendance were representatives from IATA, the Airline Reporting Corporation, Sabre Airline Solutions, UATP and SITA – allied members or service providers to the organization.

APG-GA's president, Jean-Louis Baroux announced record earnings from the World Program of more than $6.7 million, an increase of 25.2 percent on 2007. Leon Perelman, APG-GA’s Secretary General welcomed new members joining the association from Finland, Russia, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, the Dominican Republic, Syria, Egypt and Cyprus.

At the conference, the group’s latest airline distribution innovation was introduced, APG Air Connect, is the world’s leading area settlement plan (i.e. BSP and ARC) management software with applications for both airlines and multiple travel agency offices. It is currently in use by more than 40 airlines and travel agency chains.
